Testimonials
“Working with Camille over the past two years has taken my running performance and enjoyment to a new level. I’ve shaved 20 minutes off my marathon PB, but just as importantly, I’ve trained smarter - not harder - thanks to her expert guidance. She’s supported me through injury, helped me stay consistent, and always made sure my training fits with family life. She genuinely cares, knows her stuff, and is someone you can completely trust to have your best interests at heart. I wouldn’t want anyone else in my corner!”

“The year is 2021, I was running 20km plus a day as what else was there to do in covid. I kind of got to the point where I was under fuelled and just running for the sake of weight loss. It was at this point following a calf injury that I decided to enter GC marathon and get a coach. A lot has now changed. I have learned to listen to my coach (and finally dropped the 5 gym sessions a week). Camille got me to work smarter and get faster. Eventually in 2023 I got a huge marathon pb and in 2024 I won my first race (and I’ve kept winning). Camille is a dynamic coach and she is my perfect match because I lacked speed but had endurance so she has provided me with the speed I lacked and eventually we will get that elusive sub 3. Camille is incredibly supportive and taught me to celebrate the wins (even when it’s not the number you want). Camille listens to her athletes and tailors a program to what you want but also for what is best for the athlete (even if they are stubborn like me). Camille is a coach but also has become my friend and even though it’s virtual (we live far away) her pre race phone calls, chatting to Sienna, and the WhatsApp comms makes you feel like she’s right there with you and you feel accountable to the training and your coach. Thanks for all your hardwork and for continuing to support and inspire me to be the best athlete I can be.”

“I’ve been working with Camille for the last two years and to says it’s been absolutely amazing would be an understatement. She has supported me through every journey towards whatever race I’ve aimed for over the last couple of years and every one of those has been a PB – from my marathon, twice! Going sub 3 in my debut 2:57:30 down to 2:49.01 and now 2:45:23. PB’s in my half marathon down to 1:21:16 and even my 10k. No goal seems to be beyond her. As someone with a bit of running history, I cannot recommend Camille enough for anyone looking to not only improve their running, but also enjoy it”.

“There’s no doubt that Camille helps her athletes exceed, even their most ambitious goals. The results speak for themselves. What truely sets Camille apart is her coaching philosophy: she’s personable, supportive, motivating and most importantly, makes running fun - just as it should be. (The real testimonial I can tell you is that you coach Mich. My wife would not be coached by anyone else in the World).”

“I was always against getting a running coach. The idea stressed me out. It felt like pressure, and if you weren’t performing, you were failing. That all changed when Camille started coaching my husband and I saw the incredible experience he was having with her. I decided to give it a try, and I’ve never looked back. I’m the fittest and the fastest I’ve ever been, and I’ve never enjoyed running more. That’s all because Camille isn’t just a coach, she’s your biggest supporter.”

"The first time I saw Camille in real life was about ten years ago at the start line of the Hamilton Half Marathon. All the runners were over-excited waiting for the start gun when a car pulled up — and out jumped Camille, cool blonde ponytail and radiating speed. Everyone was floored. She went on to win that day and clock one of her best times. Watching her race and being part of the same event was incredibly inspiring — I was hooked.
Over the years, I ran off and on, following Camille’s career from afar. I did okay with my own running, downloading plans off the internet and timing myself with an analogue watch . Life was full — kids to raise, health challenges to navigate. But when I saw Camille run the Paris Olympic marathon on a brutal course, something reignited. Friends and family encouraged me to get a coach, and just as I was considering it, Camille launched Run by Camille. It felt meant to be. I was a total fangirl the day we met for coffee!
In the five months since Camille started coaching me, my performance has catapulted. I made a 44-minute 10K PB, winning my age grade and being 6th overall. Then I pulverised my half marathon PB by 12 minutes at the Sunshine Coast Marathon Festival, finishing in 1:33. I even came first female at the inaugural Ngaruawahia parkrun. And I'm almost 50! Like what?!
Having Camille as a coach means I feel completely supported. She’s helped me normalise pre-race nerves — who knew Olympians have the same thought processes?! Each week she sets my run plan, and I get genuinely excited to see what speedwork is coming. Knowing she’s reviewing my progress motivates me to beat the target pace she sets. I’ve rediscovered how much I love competition.
Before Camille, I’d never even been to a running track. She met me there to help me conquer my fear, and now I love track sessions — I feel like I’ve joined this exclusive club and finally made it in life . I've learnt so much by being coached, the biggest lesson being how not to overtrain. Camille’s emphasis on gradual build-up has kept my energy consistent, my motivation high, and my body injury-free. Her background in psychology means she always knows the right thing to say — whether it’s calming nerves or reframing setbacks.
But most of all, my love of running is in full flight. Every day I feel fit, strong, and buzzing with joy. I’m part of the coolest community of runners, led by an inspiring athlete. The sensation of running on the Sunshine Coast with massive crowds cheering, knowing I’d blitzed my wildest dreams — and then texting Camille, an actual Olympian, to celebrate — was surreal.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, I absolutely recommend coaching with @RunbyCamille. You won’t regret it. (I've even grown back my blonde ponytail)."
